NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise System

 

NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise Edition is a robust system designed to help automate the labor intensive tasks of tracking attendance, scheduling and job costing. Very few systems are capable of providing such powerful features and still remain easy to use. This is accomplished by how NOVAtime 3000 is designed. There are two main components to the NOVAtime 3000 system: NOVAtime 3000 Client Server Application that is accessible as a desktop application and the NOVAtime Anywhere component that is web based.

 

 

NOVAtime Client Server

The CSA (Client Server Application) is the desktop application of NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise Edition. It provides high performance / fast access through a network (either LAN or WAN) thanks to the use of SQL technology, and it embraces all user functions available in the software. The CSA is required in order to configure all policy rules pertaining to calculation of the employee hours including shift or schedule times, rounding rules, overtime calculations, meal deductions, as well as to create and execute automatic procedures at predefined times, collect time clocks data, process payroll and export data. The CSA can be used by itself or in conjunction with the NOVAtime Anywhere web enabled services for greater connectivity.

NOVAtime Anywhere
Thanks to the use of XML Web Services, NOVAtime 3000 Enterprise Edition features NOVAtime Anywhere, a web-enabled time and attendance solution accessible over the Internet or corporate intranet using a standard web browser, without the need to install any workstation software and facilitating access from outside your corporate firewall (uses standard port 80).
NOVAtime Anywhere offers three key components to allow individuals to access the information they need while at home, in the office or on the road!
The NOVAtime Anywhere is separated into three components:
Employee Timesheet (Employee Web Services)
EWS can be configured to allow employees to access any of the following functions:
 
Punch IN, punch OUT, or fill timesheet from their PC via an intranet or the internet.
Enter timesheet information including project allocation, cost center, job code, etc. (if applicable.)
Review their timesheets.
Edit their timesheets.
Request time off - vacation, jury duty, family leave, personal, etc.
Submit their timesheets for approval.
Submit expenses.
View actual hours summarized by pay codes.
View actual work hours with IN/OUT time.
View earnings and deductions.
View week/pay period total hours.
View complete attendance history - weekly, monthly and yearly.
View accrual balances - vacation, sick, personal time off, or any other benefit hours.
View their personal profile.
View their assigned work schedule.
Update their personal profile.
Customize and save their own EWS user preferences.
Supervisor Web Services
SWS can be configured to allow supervisors to access take control on administrative tasks such as:
Review and update their employee's information
Review summary information, such as total regular hours, OT1, OT2, as well as regular pay amount, OT1 pay amount, OT2 pay amount, and total pay period pay amount.
Review accrual summary, such as number of available and used vacation hours, and number of available and used sick hours, etc.
Approve timesheets or time data.
Approve request for time off.
Approve expense requests.
View and maintain their employee's work schedules through the Advanced Supply and Demand Scheduling Module.
Enter new schedules.
View current and past work schedules: schedule summary based on total work hours for each day of the week or schedule summary based on total scheduled hours, total available hours, and unscheduled hours.
View their employee's accrual information.
Actual usage details and number of hours available for each pay code.
View their employees' timesheet history.
Various time periods available: current quarter, recent 6 months, and year to date or custom date selection.
View by pay code and day of the week: number of occurrences or hours.
Administrator Web Services
AWS allows your organization to efficiently deploy/maintain access rights, features and functions for the EWS and the SWS throughout your facilities - locally or remotely. Administrators can:
Setup and deploy access privileges for each individual user or group of users (i.e. full access, read only, or no access) to different screens, as well as to configure access authority to pay codes, pay periods, etc.
Restrict employee and supervisor access to specific IP addresses.
Assign employees to supervisors.
Setup an automated e-mail alert for unauthorized access attempt of an employee or a supervisor account.
Generate auto task routines.

           Job Costing
This module provides an extremely powerful Labor and Job Costing solution. It helps you to prepare estimates, monitor and control costs, compile billing information and measure profitability of your different projects. Labor resource utilization reports are available on demand. Jobs can be broken down and grouped as many ways as you want. Every grouping has user definable lengths and data types. Given the wide range of report groupings and sorts, NOVAtime has literally thousands of possible report combinations.
           Advanced Supply and Demand Scheduling
     
           Benefit Accruals/Comp-time Banking
    Accumulates and tracks the number of hours earned and used for benefits such as available vacation and sick time. It can accrue even the most complex accrual rules and will deduct any used time entered under the Timesheet Management automatically from the employee's available balance. Different accrual rules for different groups of employees can be defined, and manual adjustments can be done, if necessary, from the Accrual History screen.
          NOVApic(Badge printer)
    Fully Integrates with digital cameras and badge printers for a complete employee badge solution. You have the option of designing your employee badge layout, on both sides of a badge! You may print an employee badge or badges for a single employee or a group of employees with a few clicks of the mouse.
           Points System
    Fully integrated performance tracking solution that uses attendance information to automatically generate merits, de-merits, warning letters, perfect attendance letters and other Word mail-merge documents.  
           Lockout /Access Control
    Security access module allows for the ability to protect the safety and security of your employees, inventory and key areas within your facility such as Human Resources, Payroll and Network Control.   
           Custom Report Maker
    You can create your own reports with the information you need in the format you want. It gives you the power to create endless combinations of reports and layouts. It is powerful and flexible; yet is easier to use than a report writer.
